Paul LeBlanc has served L.A.F.F. well
in many capacities over the years.
Joining the Association in 1975, Paul
represented the Jambalaya Festival in Gonzales, an organization in
which he worked diligently through the years as it has gained
national attention. He has served on its Board of Directors for many
years and is a three-time Past President of the Jambalaya Festival
Association (1976, 1977 and 1978).
In recognition of his efforts on
behalf of the Jambalaya Festival, the Louisiana State Department of
Recreation and Tourism honored Paul in 1990 as the state’s first
Fair Person of the Year.
Paul has served several terms on the
L.A.F.F. Board of Directors and has been Vice-President of the
Association. He was twice elected President of the Association in
1981 and 1982.
The 1991 recipient of the "Spirit of
America Award" presented by the National Grocers Association, Paul
is Past President of the Louisiana Retail Grocers Association, Past
President of the Associated Grocers Association, Past President of
the Gonzales Rotary Club and a Director of the Greater Gonzales
Chamber of Commerce.
In 1988 he received the
Louisiana outstanding Fair & Festival Achievement Award.
Willing to do anything for the
benefit of L.A.F.F., LeBlanc has served on numerous committees over
the years, acted as Master of Ceremonies for Showcases and has been
a liaison between the Association and the legislature on matters
involving fairs & festivals. |
